• The 6-digit launch code you enter to start a session.

b) Information collected through your use of the App

• Training activity data: your actions and results during a session, such as the exercise you completed, your progress, outcome and time taken.
• Session details linking your activity to your institution's GyanKosh account (for example your institution, assigned experiment and student record). The App does not receive your name, email or password.

c) Device and technical information

• A device identifier generated by the App on your headset.
• App version and app-integrity information used to confirm the App is genuine.
• IP address and basic request details (such as date and time), which our servers receive whenever the App connects to the internet.

d) Information stored on your headset

• Your App preferences (music volume, vibration, voice guidance). This stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.

We do not collect your voice or microphone audio, camera or passthrough images, precise or approximate location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. Hand and controller movements are used on your headset only to operate the App; we do not receive or store them. Meta handles such data under its own privacy policy.

We use your information to:

• start, run and complete your training session;
• prepare assessment reports for you and your institution;
• keep the App and our services secure and prevent misuse;
• diagnose problems and improve the App;
• comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising or profiling.

We share information only with:

• Your institution, which assigned the training and can view your results;
• Service providers who host our servers and databases for us and may use the data only to provide their service to us;
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.

We keep your training data for as long as your institution's account is active or as needed to provide the service, unless your institution asks us to delete it sooner or the law requires a longer period. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) communication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent or raise a grievance. Because your training data forms part of your institution's records, we may refer your request to your institution. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

The App is intended for students in technical and vocational education and is not directed to children under 13. Where a user is under 18, the institution is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required by law. If you believe a child's data has been collected without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised, and we will notify institutions of material changes.
